Whistler is the perfect place for a cycling or mountain bike adventure. There is a range of good mountain biking options, from mellow lakeside trails to more challenging cross country rides to the serious downhills of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park.
Single Track
Most serious cross country mountain bike riders find themselves lost in the bliss of the singletrack found in the Whistler Valley. Tight turns, steep downhills and man-made features such as gap jumps, log rides, drop offs and banked turns, make this a place to spend the entire day. With some easier grades, this is an area for people of almost any ability level to enjoy. If you don't know the area you should pick up a trail map from the information center or one of the bike shops in town.
Lakeside Tracks
The Valley Trail runs from north to south through the Whistler valley. The trail is paved and a nice way to explore the Whistler area on a warm sunny day. Good fun for the whole family.
Whistler Mountain Bike Park
Bring your full suspension bike and lots of armour and challenge yourself in the bike park. There are mellow trail options, but most are geared towards flowing jumps and banked turns or steep and technical downhills. Some of the funnest biking in the world and the best part is the chairlift that gets you to the top!
Pemberton & Squamish
There are plenty of great trails in Squamish to the south and Pemberton to the north. Squamish is usually the best choice when it's been dry for a while since the trails don't tend to get too dusty and the tempertature is moderated by the ocean. Pemberton is the best place to ride in light rain because it is generally hotter and dryer then the other areas.
