Whistler features some of the best rock climbing in Canada. There are lots of routes to choose from, mostly to the south of the village.
Nordic
Nordic is only 5 minutes south of the village and features a good mix of single pitch climbs. Most people will find something to climb with pitches ranging from 5.7 to 5.11.
Calcheak
It's a short drive out of Whistler and a short hike up to the cliffs. Calcheak features a series of crags that feature various styles of climbing. you'll find everything from crimpy slabs to pumpy climbs with big jugs to nice layback crack climbs.
Cheakamus Canyon
A hidden jewel between Whistler and Squamish. You'll find some of the hardest climbs in the country here on the 'Big Show' and some great multi-pithes to practice on. There are quite a few quality harder grade climbs for the experienced climber.
Pemberton
Only 20 minutes to the north and you'll find yourself in Pemberton, with even more options for climbing. The climbs here are usually less crowded, but beware of the really hot days in the summer. Pemberton can get stinking hot!
Squamish
45 minutes south is Squamish, a world class climbing area. You can start out in the Smokey Bluffs on some of the most popular climbs in Canada. Or try your luck at the Cheif, with up to 12 pitches.
